Season Information

League: Women's Bluegrass Lacrosse League (WBLL)

 

Grades: 6th–10th Grade Girls

 

Divisions:

WBLL Division A: 6th - 8th

WBLL Division AA: 9th & 10th

**Some 8th graders will be asked to play up

Format: Olympic Lacrosse Sixes 

 

Focus: Player Development • Competition • Fun

League Format

The WBLL is a game-focused league that emphasizes player development through meaningful game experience.

Every registered player will attend the WBLL Training Camp, where players will:

• Learn the league rules and Olympic Sixes format

• Participate in skill work and small-sided drills

• Compete in scrimmages

• Be evaluated to help create balanced and competitive teams

Following Training Camp, players will be drafted onto one of the WBLL teams.

The season concludes with league playoffs and a championship.

​

Olympic Lacrosse Sixes

The WBLL uses the Olympic Lacrosse Sixes format, the same style of lacrosse that will be played at the Olympic Games in 2028!

​

This fast-paced version of the game keeps every player involved from start to finish.

 

Game Format

• 6 Players on the field

• 1 Goalie

• 5 Field Players

• Smaller playing field

• Fast restarts after every goal

• Unlimited substitutions
