2nd-4th BLL Information
FALL 2026 BLUEGRASS LACROSSE LEAGUE (BLL)
League Format
The Bluegrass Lacrosse League is a game-only league designed to maximize player development through competitive game play.
Registered players will participate in a BLL Training Camp, where players will learn league rules, shake off the rust from the offseason, and be evaluated to help create the most balanced and competitive teams possible. Following the combine, ALL players will be drafted to a team following the training camp. Teams will be sent out via email and on the L4 Lacrosse social media pages the day after training camp.
The season concludes with playoffs and a championship for each division.
Rather than playing traditional full-field games, BLL uses a short-field, 7v7 style format featuring 2 Attack, 3 Midfielders, 2 Defensemen, and 1 Goalie. This faster-paced style of play creates:
-
More possessions
-
More touches
-
More ground balls
-
More offensive opportunities
-
More defensive reps
-
Faster decision-making
-
More overall player development
The result is a fun, fast-paced style of lacrosse that keeps every player engaged and involved throughout the game 7 season.
