L4 Lacrosse 2027/2028 Team Qualifies for U.S. Box Nationals
Louisville, KY – August, 18th 2025 – L4 Lacrosse is proud to announce that its 2027/2028 team has qualified to compete at the prestigious U.S. Box Nationals, held over Labor Day Weekend in Columbus, Ohio, after a dominant season last year in which the team captured championships in all three tournaments they entered.
The US Box Nationals, the premier youth box lacrosse event in the country, bring together the top programs and players from across the United States. L4’s 2027/2028 team will represent Kentucky on the national stage, continuing the program’s tradition of excellence.
Notable standouts include:
Zach Davis (St. Xavier High School) – a shutdown defenseman with leadership on and off the floor.
Bo Norrenbrock (Trinity High School) – a dynamic offensive player with a proven ability to find the back of the net.
Payton Smith (North Oldham High School) – a steady presence in net, anchoring the defense.
Lincoln Gumer (Trinity High School) - a 2 way threat that can do it all.
The roster features athletes from some of the region’s top schools, including St. Xavier, Trinity, Collins, North Oldham, Eastern, Manual, and Sayre.
L4 Lacrosse has already made its mark nationally, capturing two National Championships since launching its box program in 2018. Founded in 2013, L4 has become Louisville’s premier lacrosse training and development program, focused on building elite players while growing the game in Kentucky.
“This group has worked relentlessly over the past year, and qualifying for Nationals is a reflection of their commitment and growth. We’re proud to represent Kentucky lacrosse on the national stage and excited to see how our players compete against the best in the country.” – Reid Wesley, L4 Lacrosse Program Director
“We’ve been working hard since last year, and it feels great to know our effort is paying off. Playing at Nationals is something we’ve all been looking forward to, and we’re ready to show what Kentucky lacrosse is all about.” – Zach Davis, St. Xavier High School, L4 Defenseman
